Rachel's Basket

We have just completed making kits for this fabulous quilt Rachel's Basket by Marti Michell. The quilt is made using Marti's new line of fabric called "Wild Rose" by Maywood Studios.

The kit includes the pattern, fabrics for background, baskets and borders. Kit includes approximately 13 m of fabric. Quilt measures 68" x 82".

Cost of the kit is $175.98. We have a limited supply of kits so be sure to buy yours early.

The Cat is Back!!!

The Cat In The Hat has arrived at The Hobby Horse! Above are just a sampling of the 14 fabrics from this great line of fabric from Robert Kaufman. The collection includes a panel ($10.49) and 13 co-ordinating fabrics ($17.49/m). Two project sheets are available on line. What a great gift for a child The Cat In The Hat book and a quilt. I spent many nights reading this great book myself and then to my kids. May have to make myself one.

Shop Hop

Join us for a Fall Shop Hop. We will be joined by Rudi's Needlebed in Streetsville and Greenwood Quiltery in Guelph. The shop hop is Thursday Sept. 30th - Saturday Oct. 2nd.
We will be open until 8:00 pm on the Friday night and have demos on Saturday.

You will receive a pattern and piece of fabric from each store to complete a project.

Embroidery Club

Come join our new embroidery club!! After a very successful demo Gail felt there was a need to start an embroidery club. The club is offered the 2nd Wednesday of every month at 1:00. The cost of the club is $1.50. So choose a pattern and come and join the fun.

For those of you that work. We have now introduced a embroidery club on Saturdays. The first one will be on Saturday July 24th at 1:30.

ZIP IT UP!!!

We are asked on a regular basis for zippers. Atkinson designs have solved our problem.
These 14" zippers come in a variety of colors. You can cut them to any size you need.
